IN-CLINIC PROCEDURES

At Astra Laparoscopic & Robotic Centre for Women and Fertility, we are equipped with a treatment room for simple procedures that can be performed in the clinic for the convenience and comfort of our patients.

As an accredited colposcopist, A/Prof Fong can help patients investigate their abnormal Pap Smear results further. A punch biopsy can be conducted during colposcopy, in the clinic, to assess if there are malignancies if patients have had abnormal results in their regular pap smear tests with their gynaecologists or GPs.

Simple polyps in the cervix can be removed in the clinic, to save patients time and money, as compared to undergoing the procedure in a day surgery centre. Intra-uterine contraceptive devices (IUCD) can also be inserted or removed comfortably in the clinic’s treatment room. There are both hormonal and non-hormonal options available, depending on your needs.

Lastly, our clinic is also equipped with the Lutronics laser machine, that can be used to improve vaginal dysfunction and mild stress urinary incontinence in women. Find out more in-clinic.

Colposcopy
Our colposcopy procedures are done in a comfortable and private setting within our clinic, located in Paragon Medical and Mt. Elizabeth Novena.

IUCD Insertion and Removal
For ladies who are seeking to insert or remove their intra-uterine contraceptive device (IUCD), this can be done in-clinic with minimal discomfort.

Cervical Polypectomy (Removal of polyps)
This outpatient procedure can be done a comfortable setting within our clinic, located in Paragon Medical and Mt. Elizabeth Novena.
